Big Blue Productions is an award winning production company that was formed in 1996 and has been in operation for over 20 years. It is our mission to showcase storytelling to the world in the most creative and unconventional ways. We aspire to tell the ‘untold’ story, the ‘unexpected’ and the ‘unhindered’. Our company mission is strongly aligned to giving people the escape they so rightly deserve and fusing entertainment with the values and principles that humanity needs.

We have created some very memorable and award winning projects, most notably the award winning African travel show, Going Nowhere Slowly which ran for 7 seasons. Big Blue has also scooped five AMAA nominations for our two feature films, Once Upon a Road Trip, which took Best Make Up and runner up for cinematography, editing and soundtrack, and Snaaks Genoeg, nominated for Best African Comedy. Top honors were also grabbed at the SAFTAS for a short film, winning best short film, best concept, best directing and best cinematography.
